People at garage sales can be annoying

Ya know, I mark my stuff priced pretty cheap because I want to get rid of it. But some people just can't accept my price, they have to make an offer. Do you see a sign anywhere that says "make an offer?" No I didn't think so. God, give me a break, I'm a cripple trying to make a few bucks!

Garage sale

Wow, didn't think I had much for the garage sale, but here sits 3 boxes full of marked items. I still have more to go. My goal is to make more money this year selling less stuff. I mean by having less stuff marked anyways.

Mike From the Show American Pickers

I like red, don't you? Anyway, I've been talking with Mike from the show American Pickers on the History Channel and he and his friends are very helpful. He basically told me to find an item I like and hunt for them. I have chosen old signs and any old advertising. Or old tin cans like oil cans and stuff like that.

I can forget buying them on ebay. I can't compete for what they're selling for. I guess that's the place to sell them though when I do get some. That's good to know. At least if I do find some, I have a place to make a profit. Although I hate all of the fees that ebay and paypal charge. That's why I will accept checks or money orders. It saves on the paypal fees anyway.

I see I have my first follower. Thank you Hannah B. I appreciate that, you are #1! Hopefully I can get some more and can get some help finding these old things I'm looking for. That's all for now. I need to get some stuff marked for the garage sale.

Help Would be Appreciated

If anybody knows where there are some old signs or tins or similar stuff, could you let me know? Or if you have some I will buy them if we can agree on a price.

Nobody is going to hire this old cripple and the government is fighting me tooth and nail on my disability case. I really want to help my wife out. She works so hard for us and any money I can make on this old stuff will help. She deserves my help.

My First Auction

Went to my first auction the other night. Saw one old sign and a couple of newer one. The Indian Chief Paints sign was the old one. It had the name and logo on both sides of the sign. I bid on it up to $35 but chickened out because I didn't know what I could sell it for. I think it went for $50.

Then they held up a Skoal sign and a Red Bulldog face sign. I knew they weren't very old, but I wanted them. Got 'em for $10. They are really sharp looking. I think I have a good start at buying and selling signs.

I also bought a set of unopened Score 1991 football cards for $17.50. Why? The set contains Brett Favre's rookie card. I think I did well. That box should be valuable some day.
